Just read that the average person spends 4 years of their life looking at their phone

I saw that number in a report from a group that studies tech use. It said the average person checks their phone about 58 times a day, and that adds up to over 3 hours daily. That's more time than some people spend eating or with their family. It made me think about all the little moments I pull out my phone without even noticing. What's one thing you'd do with an extra hour each day if you got it back?

Those reports always lump everything together. Reading a book on my phone, video calling my grandma, or checking a map for directions isn't wasted time. It's just modern life. The math feels designed to make you feel bad about normal things. I'm not convinced staring out a bus window for three hours is somehow a better use of time.

My friend got lost for an hour before he let himself use his phone's map.

I heard a study say people underestimate their screen time by almost 40%.
