I always used a regular sponge for dishes, then my sister gave me a silicone one

For years I just grabbed the yellow and green sponges from the store. My sister visited and left a silicone scrubber behind, so I gave it a shot. After two weeks, the silicone one doesn't smell bad at all, and it cleaned baked on cheese off a pan way faster. What other small kitchen swaps have made a big difference for you?

Honestly, the swap that got me was moving my dish soap into a pump bottle. The big plastic bottles are always greasy and hard to grip, but a simple soap pump looks cleaner and I use way less. It's one of those tiny changes that just makes the whole sink area feel less messy.

My sister did the same thing to me last year. I was skeptical, but that silicone thing is a game changer for scrubbing pots. I also switched from a plastic cutting board to a big wooden one, and it doesn't slide around at all anymore.
