Man, I totally get this. I was all about writing apps for the longest time because they were so quick and clean. But then my aunt gave me her old travel journal from the 70s, just a beat up notebook. Holding it and reading her messy notes in pencil, it just hit different. @willowadams is totally right about the physical feel having a soul. It makes you slow down and really connect with the words in a way a screen never could.
