I used to think the moon landing was fake until I saw the laser reflectors for myself at the Griffith Observatory.

My buddy saw the actual moon rocks at NASA.

Laser reflectors prove nothing on their own (they could have been placed by unmanned probes). The whole story relies on trusting the same government that lied about Gulf of Tonkin and WMDs. Film tech in the 60s was advanced enough to fake it in a studio, and the flag waving is a classic physics giveaway. It's just too neat that we never went back after winning the space race.

What about the Soviet Union? They had every reason to call us out if it was fake and their tracking stations picked up the Apollo missions live. Why would they play along with our government's lie?
