TIL thermal paste quantity debate has two very different camps

Old school guy at a shop in Tucson told me to apply a pea-sized dot, but I watched a video from a big YouTuber saying spread it thin with a card. Which camp are you in and has anyone actually seen a temp difference from either method?

Back in 2018 I did a blind test with 5 different brands of toothpaste including that one. The pea sized dot actually out-cleaned a few of the expensive ones in terms of plaque removal according to my dentist checkup three months later. Seems like the real game changer is how you brush not how much you use. Did you ever try timing yourself to see if you go the full two minutes?

My grandpa always said use a pea sized dot of anything... then he'd dip his toothbrush in the sink after.
