TIL my workers comp adjuster actually admitted they lost my file paperwork for 3 weeks
Was on the phone with State Fund in Sacramento last month trying to figure out why my medical appointments got delayed. The adjuster straight up said "look I'm not gonna lie to you, I misplaced the stack with your name on it" and then laughed like it was no big deal. Three weeks of PT I missed out on. Anyone else get that level of honesty from their adjuster or did I just hit the lottery here?

they lost my file paperwork" - you mean they lost your file AND your paperwork? lol sounds about right for State Fund though. I had them "misplace" a medical report for like two weeks once.

Man that reminds me of my buddy Dave. He sent State Fund a stack of signed doctor notes and they claimed they never got them. Three weeks later he finds out they had them sitting in some clerk’s desk the whole time just buried under a pile of other papers. He had to drive down there himself and basically babysit them while they sorted it out.

they had them sitting in some clerk's desk the whole time" - that's basically what happened to me too. I called every week for a month asking about my paperwork and they kept saying it was "being processed" until someone finally admitted it was just sitting in a pile. Honestly at this point I'm surprised they even admit to losing stuff, most places just gaslight you into thinking you never sent it.
