inPSA: The $3 thrift store pressure cooker actually works
Safety valves get checked way too often. Most systems are overbuilt and the valve is the last thing to fail. If it worked fine last time, it's probably fine now. Constant checking just wastes time and can even wear out the parts.

inUpdate: I started tracking my daily tasks in a simple spreadsheet for 30 days
Sounds like a lot of work just to feel productive. Most people's jobs are just a bunch of small stuff anyway. That report would have gotten done eventually without all the tracking.

inQuestion about those single-origin Ethiopian beans from that new roaster downtown
My buddy Dave got a bag of Kenyan beans as a gift last Christmas. He brewed it expecting his usual dark roast taste and said it was so bright and winey it tasted like a totally different drink. He texted me a picture of his confused face with the mug, it was pretty funny.

inMy date in Phoenix started with a flat tire and ended with a food allergy
Oh wow, that is a wild chain of events! Changing a tire together is actually a pretty good teamwork test, even if it's a messy one. But the EpiPen part is seriously scary. Is Derek doing okay now? And more importantly, are you two planning a very low-key, allergy-safe second date, or did that night feel like a sign to call it?

inVent: My resume rewrite took three whole weeks when I thought it would be a day
Dig through your old calendar for meetings you led or projects you closed. I found a number for "people trained" by looking at old webinar invites. Pull numbers from any praise emails too, like if a boss said you "saved the team 10 hours." That stuff is pure gold for the skills section.
