Just read that the average bullet journal has 2.5 pens run dry per year

I was reading an old blog post from a stationery company's site, and they had this stat from a survey they did. They polled like 500 people who bullet journal regularly. It got me thinking about my own pen graveyard drawer, and yeah, that tracks. I definitely killed at least three last year just on my weekly spreads and habit trackers. Makes you realize how much ink we're actually putting down. Anyone else have a specific pen they buy in bulk because you know you'll burn through them?

Wait, does that count gel pens or just regular ballpoints? I had this one specific blue gel pen I used for all my headers last year and I swear I went through four of them by October. The ink just flows out so fast when you're coloring in those little monthly calendar squares. I started buying them in three packs because it felt silly to keep going back to the store every couple months. There's something satisfying about using a pen up completely though, like you got your money's worth.

Actually, gel pens totally count for that too. They just have a different type of ink that flows more, which is why you go through them faster when coloring. Finishing any pen feels like a tiny win.

Gel pens are the real MVPs.
