Had to choose between fixing my 2005 Civic's AC or just dealing with the Texas heat. Went with the windows down for 3 months.

My 2008 Corolla's AC gave out in July and I learned you can actually get a sunburn on your left arm from the driver's window. @alice_kim, the frizz is one thing, but the weird tan lines are a whole other problem. I started wearing a driving glove like some 80s movie villain just to avoid looking patchy. The money I saved on the repair went straight into extra-strength sunscreen and a lot of iced coffee.

Used to think a car without AC was just a minor hassle. After one summer of my own, I now view a broken AC as a full on public health crisis. The heat really does change your mind.
