Serious question, I chose to wear pajama pants to the grocery store on a Tuesday morning

I picked comfort over the weird expectation to be 'presentable' for a 10 minute milk run, and honestly, the only look I got was from a guy in a full three-piece suit. Has anyone else just stopped dressing for errands?

It's a small act of rebellion against the idea that we owe strangers a certain look. I started wearing my old band t-shirts and sweatpants everywhere after the pandemic. The funny thing is, you start noticing who else has opted out. The real freedom is walking past the fancy stores downtown in your comfy clothes and not even caring.

Tbh calling it a "small act of rebellion" makes it sound way more important than it is. It's just wearing comfy clothes, not some big statement. Honestly, most people are just busy getting their own stuff done to even notice.

Yeah I used to think that too until I realized how much time I wasted picking "acceptable" outfits. Now that comfy default feels like reclaiming hours of my life.
