Huh, I have to disagree. In my family, putting off replies just leads to a bunch of anxious phone calls because they assume something bad happened. I found that shooting back a quick "got it" actually stops more drama than it starts. For me, that instant response keeps everyone calm and saves me from bigger hassles later.

My family's so used to my slow replies, they now just assume I'm napping. It's a system that works, mostly because I am actually napping.
