Saw a guy bragging about his 30-year-old bevel gauge at the union hall in Gary
He was saying modern laser levels and digital protractors are just toys for kids. I get respecting old tools but I watched him take 20 minutes to mark a simple 45 on some 3/4 plate. My digital angle finder did the same work in under 2 minutes with no math. Has anyone else noticed this stubborn attitude slowing down jobs on your crew?

Just tell the old timer you'll handle the layout while he grabs coffee. Keeps the peace and the job moving. Some guys just need to feel useful in their own way.

Right, because nothing says "I respect your experience" like sending the senior guy on a coffee run so I can fix his layout before he gets back. Genius.
