Why does nobody mention the fade difference between a Wahl and an Andis?

I've been cutting with a Wahl Magic Clip for about 4 years now, always thought my fades were decent. Swapped to an Andis Master last week just to try something different on a client named Marcus in Detroit. The blend on his nape was night and day smoother with the Andis, no skipping at all. Has anyone else noticed a big shift switching brands like that?

Four years with Wahl and you just now learned Andis actually cuts hair instead of just pushing it around?

Same thing with kitchen knives, you don't notice the difference until you use a sharp one, @charlienelson.

Bet your setup probably needs adjusting if it's just pushing hair around. A lot of guys run clippers way too fast and dry, try a little oil on the blades next time.
