Vent: The $300 clipper set that dulled after 3 weeks and ruined my fade game
Bought a fancy cordless clipper set online thinking it would level up my cuts but the blades went blunt faster than my $40 Oster set from 5 years ago, has anyone else had that happen with newer brands?

Wait, is that the same brand everyone was hyping up on YouTube last year? I used to think spending more meant better quality, but your story totally changed my mind about that.
I grabbed one of those expensive cordless sets thinking it would be a game changer, but yeah, the blades went soft after a few weeks too. The old Oster stuff just lasts because they use real steel instead of whatever cheap metal these new brands are using to keep costs down.
It sucks that the market is flooded with overpriced junk that looks good on Instagram but can't hold an edge. I'm sticking with my old wired clippers now, even if they aren't as flashy.

Man, that's rough... I had almost the exact same problem with a cordless set that was supposed to be top tier. What finally worked for me was just going back to basics and getting a set of Wahl clippers from a barber supply store. They look old school and the cord gets in the way sometimes, but the blades hold an edge for months if you oil them regular. Also tried sharpening the dull ones myself with a small stone and it bought them a little more time, but nothing beats the old stuff.
