Serious question, I just read that barbers in ancient Rome used broken glass for shaving
Found it in a history book at the library, they said they'd collect sharp pieces from jars. Honestly that sounds way more dangerous than a straight razor to me, but maybe it worked back then. What's the wildest old-school barber fact you've heard?

Broken glass sounds absolutely brutal, but honestly the whole barber-surgeon thing is way crazier. They used to pull teeth and do basic surgeries right there in the chair. Makes you wonder how many people just went in for a trim and left missing a finger.

Ever notice how we still do that now, just with different jobs? Like how your phone repair guy is also expected to recover your photos and explain your cloud storage. We still want that one person who can fix everything, even if it's way outside what they actually signed up for.

@clairem47 honestly it's not that deep. Most phone repair places have clear signs saying they only fix hardware, people just ignore them and ask anyway. It's like someone getting mad at a plumber for not rewiring their house. Yeah people want a handyman type, but that's on them for assuming, not on the worker for having a specific skill set.
