Found a better way to handle my mail pile-up

I had a stack of unopened mail on my counter for months. Bills, junk, everything. I kept telling myself I'd get to it. Then I got a notice about a late fee on my water bill. It was only $15, but it tipped me off. I was avoiding it because it felt like a chore. Now I open everything the day it comes in. I sort it right by the trash can. Junk goes straight in. Bills go to a folder. Takes two minutes. Has anyone else found a simple system that actually sticks?
