Am I the only one who freaks out when people use duct tape for permanent fixes?

I see so many folks using duct tape to seal leaks or hold things together long-term. It might seem handy, but it fails when temperatures shift, and you're left with a gunked-up surface. Why not take the extra minute to use the right stuff?
