Looking back, I miss the grit in old galaxy shots.
I mean, maybe it's just me, but I've been noticing how astronomy photos have changed. Most folks love the super clean, colorful images we see now, but I kind of prefer the older, grainier ones. They felt more honest, like you were really peering into the void. Remember those early shots of the Andromeda Galaxy? They had this texture that made space seem vast and mysterious. Now, everything's so polished it almost looks fake, idk. When I first got into this hobby, seeing a fuzzy photo through a telescope was magical. Maybe I'm just stuck in the past, but that raw feel meant more to me.
