Watching a friend's arranged marriage changed my mind
I always thought arranged marriages were just about family pressure and had no true connection. But then my close friend went through one not long ago. Her family set her up with a guy from their community, and they had a few meetings before deciding. I was doubtful, but at the wedding, I saw how comfortable they were together. They talked about shared goals and respected each other's views. Over time, I watched their bond grow into something deep and caring. It made me see that for some, this tradition builds a base on trust and family help. Now I get it as another way to find happiness, not something forced.
