Warning: My garage sale purge felt too good to be true
I sold half my old board games last weekend. Now my living room has space to breathe.

That ghost shelf will be full again before winter, just with different junk. The relief never lasts like you think it will.

Honestly that space will just fill up with other junk (it always does). You're gonna miss those games next time friends come over and you want options, mark my words. That empty shelf space looks sad already, like a ghost of fun you used to have. Clearing stuff out gives you a quick buzz, but long term you killed a bunch of ready made good times.

My cousin sold his entire baseball card collection for pizza money in college. Said he'd never look back. Ten years later, his son needed examples of 90s pop culture for a history fair. The look on his face while digging through eBay was pretty classic. Now he keeps a junk drawer full of what he calls 'future nostalgia'. Guess some empty spaces should stay filled.
