Lately, local building codes updated for vapor barriers in basements. It caught me off guard on a job last week. My tip is to always check the subfloor moisture before laying anything. I use a meter now to avoid callbacks. Saves a ton of headache.

Seems obvious once you start doing it, but easy to assume the plants are fine. Terryf62 is right about how much it helps to actually check.
