Had a beer with a retired installer who said he never used a moisture meter on slab jobs, just the plastic sheet test. Said meters gave him more false readings than real help over 30 years.

Totally! My old foreman swore by that plastic sheet method too.

Yeah that trick is a lifesaver for dust control. Lay down plastic on the floor before you start demo and it makes cleanup way faster. Just roll it up after and most of the mess is gone. Old school guys knew all those little hacks to save time.
