Had a customer in Springfield ask me why I was digging post holes by hand when his neighbor used an auger. He said, 'You're making this way harder on yourself, man.'

So what did you tell him?

Told him sometimes the old ways are the best ways. Had a guy say the same thing to me last year when I was fixing a fence.

My grandpa taught me to set posts by hand in the Ozarks. You just get a better feel for the ground that way.
