Rant: My buddy in Seattle swears by a 48-hour close for all his deals now

He said it cuts down on buyer's remorse and keeps the deal HOT, but I think that's pushing clients way too fast. Anyone else have a hard rule on how quick is too quick?

Yeah, the "keeps the deal HOT" part is what got me. I read a piece last week about how these super fast closes can backfire. It said some buyers feel rushed into the inspection, so they skip it, and then find huge problems after moving in. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen, not a smooth deal. Speed is good, but you can't shortcut the important steps.

My cousin in Phoenix does 72 hours and it honestly works great for him.

Man, that's rough. I feel for you, @the_logan, hearing how well it works for your cousin.
