Pro tip: I used to think pockets ruined a dress line, but a rainy day in Seattle changed my mind.
I got caught in a downpour and had nowhere to put my phone and keys, which made me realize function is part of the design. Now I try to hide at least one decent pocket in every skirt or dress I make, even if it's just a side seam. Anyone have good tricks for hiding pockets in lightweight fabrics?

That bias tape trick sounds smart. Do you use the same fabric for the tape or something lighter?

Didn't I see a tip about using bias tape for pocket bags?

Wait, is that the thing where you finish the raw edge of the pocket bag with bias tape instead of folding it under? I tried that once on a pair of linen pants and it was a total game changer. It made the inside look so clean and professional, and it was way less bulky than a folded hem. Honestly, it felt like a little secret upgrade that only I knew about.
