Hot take: I heard a designer call a collection 'wearable art' and it made me rethink everything
It was at a panel in Austin, and now I can't stop wondering if that's a helpful label or just marketing fluff. Do you think that term actually helps people connect with a design, or does it just make it feel less accessible?

I saw a jacket priced like a museum piece at that same panel. It made me feel like my own closet is just a storage unit for laundry.

What kind of jacket was it? Sounds like they're charging for the story, not the fabric.

Checked the tag on a crazy expensive coat once. It was just polyester. Laughed and put it right back.
