I finally realized that $400 meal delivery plan was just a way to sell me tiny portions of chicken and broccoli.
After two months of feeling hungry and broke, I'm convinced the real diet is just eating less of anything, so should we just save our money and skip the fancy branded programs?

You figured out the secret. Those plans just portion out normal food and charge a huge markup. Buy your own chicken and broccoli, weigh it, and keep the cash.

Yeah, I had that same lightbulb moment last year. My fridge was full of those little boxes and I was still staring into the pantry at night. Felt pretty silly paying a premium to be gently taught what a serving size is. The real magic trick is just using your own kitchen scale.
