inMy 'simple' habit tracker layout turned into a two-hour design nightmare
But Eric, sometimes the fun part is actually the worst part. It can turn into a huge mess that nobody wants to deal with. Calling it fun is just being nice about a real headache.

inA warning from a guy at a supply yard in Phoenix that saved my hide
That line about the core heat blowing the surface to pieces is so real. My buddy had a similar thing happen with a fence post concrete job. Some guy at the hardware store saw him buying bags and asked if he was doing it that day. Told him the ground was still frozen a few inches down from a cold snap, and the concrete wouldn't set right, it would just crumble in a month. My friend blew him off and did it anyway. Sure enough, spring came and half those posts were loose. He had to redo the whole thing.

inUnpopular opinion: I hid a repair mistake from a regular customer
Keeping a secret... man, that phrase just reminds me of the time I forgot to tighten a drain plug. Found it rolling around the shop floor after the car left. Had to call the guy and tell him to come right back. My heart was in my throat the whole time.

inPro tip: I chose a $300 facial steamer over a $100 one and it changed my whole service
Happened to my old unit too. I found a local repair shop that fixed the pump for about half the price of a new one. They said it was a common clog from hard water.

inOld kitchen drawer now holds my socket set
My uncle did something like that in his garage but with an old silverware tray. He dumped all his loose drill bits into the little sections for knives and spoons. Ended up labeling each row with a paint marker right on the metal. Crazy how the best organizers are just old things you already have kicking around. Made finding the right bit so much faster.
