A client told me my extractions were too fast and it stuck with me

She said, 'You're rushing, and it hurts more than it should.' I realized I was trying to fit too many appointments in a day. Now I block out 75 minutes for a basic facial instead of 60. The pressure is gentler and my reviews are better. Has anyone else adjusted their timing after getting direct feedback?

Seventy-five minutes for a basic facial? That's way more than I've ever heard of. Most places around here are in and out in fifty, tops. You must have a really chill setup to make that schedule work without going broke.

My place in Chicago books 90 minutes for a basic facial. The extra time is for a real skin check and a proper massage on the neck and shoulders. Honestly, rushing through it in 50 minutes just feels like a product push to me.

Totally get what fox.david is saying about the time. The thing people miss is how the longer booking changes the whole vibe for the client. It stops feeling like a rushed chore. Patricia mentioned most places doing fifty minutes, and that speed just trains clients to expect a factory line service. The extra forty minutes means the esthetician isn't watching the clock, so you actually relax. That's what builds real loyalty, not just pushing product out the door.
