I always thought reflowing was a fix-all, but a melted board proved me wrong
For years, I'd just blast every BGA chip with hot air, thinking it would solve any issue. Then I worked on a laptop where the factory didn't use enough paste, and my heat warped nearby parts. Now I always inspect the original solder job before heating anything up. That mistake wasted hours and taught me a hard lesson.

Was reflowing your go-to fix too? I learned that the hard way myself.

Found a dead cap once, looked fine but tested open.

Sounds familiar... we get used to one solution working everywhere. Then something breaks in a new way and teaches us to check first.
