He said it with such total confidence while we were watching a video of the cutterhead working, and now I can't unsee it, especially when we're pulling up a big load of aggregate from the riverbed near St. Louis.

Remember that guy who described a sunset as "like a peach bruise"? We all just stared at him. It was so weirdly perfect we didn't know what to say. Some things are just too good for a simple compliment.

Actually it was a plum, not a peach. The dark purple part right where it gets soft.
