Hot take: I was overthinking my swing ladder setup for years.
Watched a guy on a job in Mobile just drop a single anchor point and let the current do the work, and my production jumped 15% the next day. Anyone else find a simpler method that actually worked better?

Sounds like a good way to lose a ladder. I've seen that go wrong more times than I've seen it work.

Mobile, Alabama? That's a serious tidal swing down there. I would have been scared to death of a single anchor point in that current. You're telling me it actually held steady and boosted your numbers? That goes against everything I've ever been taught about rigging near water.

We used a 3/4 inch marine grade rope on a reinforced cleat in Tampa Bay last year, similar tidal pull to Mobile. @thomas275, the key was a 5:1 scope on the anchor line, way more than you'd think you need. It looked like overkill but that line was tight as a drum the whole shoot, zero drift. Sometimes you just have to trust the math and go heavier than feels right.
