Overheard a project manager in Dallas say they don't require a backup of the final CAD file

I was grabbing coffee last week and heard a guy from a big firm say their standard is just the PDF and the native file on the server. No separate backup copy. That made me freeze. If that server has a problem, the whole project record is gone. I've started making a point to save a final .dwg to a cloud folder on every job now. How many of you have a set backup rule for your final drawings?
