Rant: My garage ceiling went from bright white to yellowed brown in under 3 months after I switched to those cheap LED shop lights

I figured a $30 set from an online warehouse was a steal, but the plastic housings started oxidizing or something from the heat and now it looks like I'm working in a smoker's den, has anyone else had their cheap fixtures discolor that fast or did I just get a bad batch?

Right? "Slightly yellow ceiling" like it's just a cosmetic thing. But if you live with it every day, that yellow tint changes the whole feel of the room. It makes everything look dingy and old, even if the rest of your place is clean. Plus, a yellowed ceiling usually means there's an actual source of heat or smoke or even a water leak that got painted over once. So it's not just about the color, it's about ignoring what caused it in the first place.
