Picked tile over hardwood for my kitchen remodel and honestly I'm kicking myself
I had to choose between luxury vinyl plank and ceramic tile for my kitchen floor. Tile seemed like the no brainer for water resistance. But after 6 months I'm dealing with grout cracking near the dishwasher and my feet hurt every time I stand there more than 10 minutes. The LVP would have been warmer and softer and probably held up fine. Has anyone else regretted their tile choice just because of the comfort factor?

Oh man, I feel your pain. Grout is the worst for kitchens, always cracking or staining no matter how careful you are. A good mat by the sink would help your feet a lot, but you shouldn't have to do that.

Nah, hard disagree honestly. Grout is fine if you actually seal it right and keep up with it. I've had the same grout in my kitchen for like 5 years and it's still looking clean. People just let stuff sit too long and then blame the material. And a mat by the sink is literally a no-brainer, it saves your back and floors. Stand on tile for 8 hours straight and tell me a mat isn't worth it.

Ugh, I once dropped a WHOLE pizza face-down on the grout.
