That one Tuesday when my lawyer called with good news for once
After 14 months of fighting over the house and savings, my lawyer called last Tuesday and said my ex agreed to let me keep the old fishing cabin up in Maine, and I sat in my car for 10 minutes just staring at the phone because I honestly forgot what relief felt like. Has anyone else had a single day where the fog lifted even just a little?

Man, I hear you. I read somewhere that divorce settlements average over a year of back-and-forth, and the_riley is right that 14 months feels like a long time, but a piece of property like that can mean way more than its value. Glad you got your place back.
