That $300 'coparenting coach' was a total waste of money

I paid $300 for three sessions with a woman who claimed she could help me communicate better with my ex. All she did was read off worksheets from a binder and say 'that must be hard' over and over. After the third session, she told me to 'try being more patient' like I hadn't thought of that myself. Has anyone else fallen for one of these so called experts who just take your cash?

What exactly did she think "being more patient" was going to fix, like did she offer any actual strategies or just leave you hanging? I've seen this scam play out before where these "coaches" basically just regurgitate generic parenting advice from a textbook they bought on Amazon. The worst part is they make you feel like you're the problem for not somehow magically getting along with someone who probably still drives you crazy. Did she at least ask about your specific situation or was it all just those binder worksheets from start to finish? That kind of lazy help is worse than no help at all because it wastes your time and makes you doubt yourself more.

Right, because nothing says "professional advice" like paying someone to tell you what you already know for free on the internet. Sounds like she charged you by the cliché.
