My mistake with pre-cut fruit in Thailand
In hot weather, pre-cut fruit can go bad fast. I ate some and was ill for two days. Stick to places with high turnover or cut your own.

Learned that the hard way too, my stomach still hates me for that mango.

Man, @charlied34's mango story is all too familiar. I had a close call with a coconut drink from a street vendor in Vietnam last year. The thing was sitting in the sun all day, and I could tell it had gone bad just by the smell. But I was so dehydrated I drank it anyway, big mistake. My gut was in knots for a full 24 hours, and I missed out on a whole day of exploring. It really shows how tricky it can be to judge what's safe in that heat. What's the worst street food or drink you've risked and regretted?
