My friend swore by the 'three drink rule' for first dates and it went so wrong
He said having three drinks would make me more relaxed and fun, but I just got sleepy and spilled a whole glass of red wine on my date's white shirt at the Italian place. Has anyone else had a piece of advice totally backfire like that?

Well, at least you found out early that your date doesn't look good in red.

My cousin wore a red suit to his wedding and honestly, mary776, it's a color that can go wrong in so many ways. At least a bad first date outfit is easier to walk away from.

Yeah, red's a tricky one. I always say stick to neutral colors for first dates, saves everyone the trouble.
