My date last night spent the whole time talking about his ex-wife's cat
We met at a bar in Austin, and within five minutes of sitting down, he started telling me about his divorce. Okay, fine, it happens. But then he spent the next hour and a half going into detail about the custody battle over their cat, Mittens. I'm talking vet bills, feeding schedules, how the cat prefers a specific brand of litter. He even showed me a photo on his phone. I just sat there nodding, sipping my drink, wondering how I got here. The check came, he didn't even offer to split it, and then he asked if I wanted to meet Mittens sometime. How do people think this is okay first date talk? What's the weirdest thing someone has fixated on during a date with you?

Did he at least show you a cute picture of Mittens, or was it just a shot of the fancy litter box?

My friend got a whole slideshow of his cat's new water fountain. It was honestly kind of sad.

Man I once sat through 45 minutes of someone's fish tank pH levels.
