I completely forgot his name while we were at the movies yesterday
The moment I realized I couldn't remember his name while introducing him to my buddy was pure nightmare fuel.

Forgetting a name is awkward for sure, but nightmare fuel seems like a strong way to put it lol. People have brain farts all the time in social spots, and it's usually no big deal. You didn't mean any disrespect, and nobody got hurt. A quick joke about your memory blanking fixes it most of the time. Real nightmares involve way scarier stuff than this kind of mix-up. We might be taking these small social hiccups too seriously.
