Finally got through a full dinner date without my phone dying...
Had a date last Saturday at this Italian place downtown and my phone battery decided to cooperate for once after 5 straight months of dying mid-conversation. Anyone else's phone seem to know exactly when to crap out on a date?

5 straight months of dying mid-conversation"? Bro, that's wild. I'd have given up and started carrying a portable charger everywhere after the second time, lol. You've got some serious patience to let that go on for half a year without fixing it. Most phones just know when to betray you at the worst possible moment, like they have a sixth sense for awkward silences. Glad this one finally worked out for you though.

...so you had 5 straight months of dying batteries on dates and you just...kept doing the same thing? No portable charger, no battery case, nothing? I mean I get that phones have a sense of timing but at some point you gotta take some control back. Like did you at least try closing your apps or putting it on low power mode before the dinner started?
