Used to let my browser save every password without thinking

Switched to a password manager after I found out my old Yahoo account got hit in that 2016 breach and suddenly every site I used was compromised. Anyone else get that sick feeling when you check haveibeenpwned and see your email listed 15 times?

That feeling hits like a brick. Had my own wake up call when my mom's email got pwned and someone tried to buy gift cards with her PayPal. Now I change everything every few months just to be safe. The worst part is trying to remember which sites you used that old password on. Feels like a digital scavenger hunt you never wanted to play.

Buddy of mine had his Netflix account hijacked. Someone changed the email and password, then started watching some show in Portuguese. He only noticed when his monthly bill jumped because they upgraded to the 4K plan. Took him three hours on support chat just to prove he was the real owner. Now he keeps a little notebook by his computer with all his logins scribbled in it. Old school but hey, at least he can find them.
