Used to mow every lawn the exact same height all year long
I always cut bermuda at 1.5 inches no matter what until a guy at the feed store in San Antonio told me to raise it to 2 inches during July heat. Now my lawns look way greener and don't burn up as bad come August. Anybody else change mowing heights depending on the season?

Yeah, I do the same thing... raise it up for summer heat and it makes a huge difference.

Raised mine up about 2 inches last spring and it was a game changer for sure. The airflow underneath is so much better now, plants aren't getting that damp feeling near the base. Also helped with keeping the soil from staying wet too long after rain. Only thing I'd say is make sure whatever you use to lift it is solid and won't shift around in a storm. Some folks use bricks or those little pot feet things, I just used some scrap wood blocks I had lying around.
