My whole AC condensate problem solved with a pack of zip ties
I was running a service call out near Oak Park last week and this unit kept flooding every 3 days from a clogged drain line. I tried snaking it, shop vac, even compressed air and nothing worked. Finally I grabbed a handful of zip ties and shoved them down the line to break up whatever was in there and flushed it with hot water. Has anyone else had luck with something that simple?

Wait, are we really calling zip ties a permanent fix for a drain line that's flooding every 3 days? I've seen that trick work for a quick break up, but if the line has a slow slope or buildup inside, those ties are just delaying the real problem. You might be back there in a month.

Three days is way too often for zip ties to even be a bandaid @hollyg59... if the slope is off or there's sludge built up inside, those ties will just pop off again soon as the water backs up.

Honestly @hollyg59, that's a rough spot to be in. I really hope you can get the slope sorted out before it turns into an even bigger mess.
