Two wrong calls in one shift, and I still picked the worse one

Had a customer scream at me for 20 minutes over a fence panel that was 'the wrong shade of tan', and I had to choose between refunding her on the spot or calling my boss for backup. I called my boss and he just laughed, said 'you're on your own', and hung up. Anyone else ever get thrown under the bus by their own supervisor like that?
