Why does nobody talk about how the bass drops off once you hit 75 mph?

I keep seeing people in this sub rave about their car speakers but nobody mentions how wind noise eats the low end on the highway. Last week I tested this on I-95 by cranking a track at 60 then 80 and the bass was half as loud. Anyone else notice this or am I just driving a tin can?

Wait, is 75 mph really where the bass drops off? I always thought it started earlier, like around 65, because that's where wind noise really kicks in for my car. I drive a 2018 Civic and it's not great for bass anyway but I tested this last weekend on the highway. At 70 mph the low end was fine with my door speakers, then at 80 it just disappeared. Maybe your car's aerodynamics are different but for me it's more of a gradual thing starting at 65, not a sudden cutoff at 75.

@carr.gavin my 2002 truck loses bass at 40 mph but that's probably just me being old and deaf.
