A new stylist at the salon asked me why I still use a marcel iron sometimes

She said most people just use digital wands now for everything. It made me remember learning with one from my mentor, and how the heat feels different on the hair. Do you still use any of the older tools they taught you with?

Wait they said digital wands do everything now? That's wild lol. My old shears from school still give a cleaner blunt cut than anything new I've tried, the weight is just different.

Yeah, the new stylist probably thinks my marcel iron is a museum piece. I get what @adam517 means about the weight, some tools just have a feel you can't copy. They can keep their digital wands.

Digital wands? Seriously? That sounds like something from a sci-fi movie lol. @adams.cameron, I can't believe they're actually trying to sell stylists on that. My old clippers have a motor sound that lets me know exactly what they're doing, none of this silent digital stuff.
