Warning: I watched a 'funny' meme page turn into a hate farm in 3 months
I used to follow a meme page called Daily Laughs 420. Back in January it had about 8,000 followers and just posted dumb jokes about homework and traffic. By April it hit 210,000 followers and the whole vibe flipped. The admin started posting stuff that got 10x the likes, stuff mocking specific groups of people. I checked the comments on one post last week and 6 of the top 10 were straight up slurs. The page got banned 4 days later but the damage was done. Has anyone else watched a page they liked go bad this fast, and is there any way to tell it's coming before it happens?

Used to figure the algorithm just boosted whatever got clicks and that was that, no big deal. Watching a page go from dumb homework jokes to slurs in three months made me think twice about that. Once the hate stuff starts pulling way more likes than the normal posts, that seems to be the sign it's about to go bad.
