TIL most people think 'natural' pest control means just spraying peppermint oil around

I've seen 5 clients this month with full blown infestations because they tried that, and it does nothing to stop an actual colony. What's the worst 'green' solution you've seen someone swear by that just made things worse?

Oh the "green" solution thing is EVERYWHERE now. I saw a lady try to stop squirrels with used coffee grounds, she just ended up with a caffeinated squirrel problem.

That "caffeinated squirrel" thing is too real. My buddy tried orange peels for ants and just made his kitchen smell like a weird fruit salad.

Remember reading about someone who tried eggshells for slugs. They ended up with a yard full of sharp, white pieces that just looked like trash. It's the same kind of well-meaning mess, hollyg59. The idea spreads faster than the actual problem it's supposed to fix. People see one post about a "natural" fix and just run with it without any real proof. Now we've got supercharged squirrels and kitchens that smell like a bad smoothie bar.
